Chill Out Kids Programme at Richmond Aquatic Centre offers a fun and exciting childcare experience that your Tamariki will enjoy. Our philosophy is creating a safe and fun environment where Tamariki feel safe, valued and included. We offer After School care during the school term and holiday programmes throughout the year (excluding public holidays).  

After School Care

Our after-school care programme offers exciting activities for Tamariki aged 5 to 13 from 3pm to 6pm during the school term.  

You can pick an option from below that suits you and your whanau. 

3pm to 4pm, 3pm to 5pm or 3pm to 6pm. 

Skip the after-school rush and let us handle the pick-ups from Richmond schools and bring the kids to our awesome Chill Out room at the Richmond Aquatic Centre for a fun and exciting afternoon. Your Tamariki will enjoy baking, arts and crafts, outdoor games, supervised free play, and of course, swimming in some of our amazing pools! We also offer discounted swimming lessons during our after-school care. Rest assured, our friendly and dedicated team will escort your Tamariki to and from their swimming lessons.  

OSCAR/MSD Approved – WINZ subsidies are available, making our programme even more accessible for families. 

Holiday Programme

School holidays are made for adventure, and that's exactly what you'll find at our Holiday Programme! 

Running every school holiday from 8:00am–4:00pm. Each programme is packed with exciting activities, awesome outings and daily swims at the Richmond aquatic Centre. From action-packed adventures to creative fun, there's something for every child aged 5–13 years to enjoy across the Nelson Tasman region.
