Richmond Chill Out – September School Holiday Programme

Richmond Chill Out is back with our September Holiday Programme, packed with action, creativity, and non-stop fun for children aged 5–13 years.
What's On?
This spring, your child can enjoy an exciting mix of activities, including:

Our programme includes lots of pool visits to the Richmond Aquatic Centre — so don’t forget to pack swim gear!
Programme Details
Location:
Waimea Intermediate School Hall
48 Salisbury Road, Richmond 7020
Drop-off: Between 8:00 am – 9:00 am (please arrive by 9:00 am for roll call)
Pick-up: Between 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm
After Care
We also offer extended care until 6:00 pm, perfect for working parents.
Children enrolled in After Care will be transported back to the Richmond Aquatic Centre by 4:15 pm.
Pick-up is from the Chill Out Room, via the back entrance off Salisbury Road.
What to Bring Each Day

Health Guidelines
To keep everyone safe:

Please keep your child at home if they show any cold or flu symptoms.

Any child who becomes unwell during the day will be sent home.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made 72 hours before 8:00 am on the booking day.

On-time cancellations receive account credit.

Same-day cancellations are charged in full.

Vacant spots will be offered to those on our waitlist.

Get Ready for the Ultimate Holiday Adventure
Ages 5-13 onlyKick off the day with a thrill as we zoom down the mega slide—guaranteed to get hearts racing and faces smiling! After all that excitement, we’ll head to the Richmond Aquatic Centre for a refreshing swim and plenty of splash-filled fun. It’s the perfect mix of action and water play to keep the kids active and entertained these holidays. Book now—spaces fill fast!
Lace Up and Roll into Fun!
Ages 5-13 onlyWe're kicking off the day with a trip to the roller-skating rink, where kids can glide, spin, and groove to the music — whether they’re beginners or confident skaters, it’s all about having a blast. After that, we’re heading to the Richmond Aquatic Centre for a refreshing swim. Make sure your child packs socks, togs, and a towel for this action-filled day!
Adventure Day at Abel Tasman!
Ages 5-13 onlyGet ready for a fun-filled day in the great outdoors! We’ll jump on the boat and cruise from Kaiteriteri to Anchorage, walk the scenic Pitt Head Loop, enjoy a beachside picnic, and have plenty of time for games and fun in the sun. Then it’s back on the boat for a relaxing ride home. An awesome day of nature, adventure, and good vibes! Please note this is an early start. Please drop off by 8.30am
A Day of Fun & Splashing Good Times!
Ages 5-13 onlyGet ready for a jam-packed day of excitement! Start with non-stop games and thrills at Timezone, where fun knows no limits. Then cool off and unwind with an afternoon swim at the Richmond Aquatic Centre, complete with pools and plenty of space to relax. It's the perfect holiday outing for all ages.
Strike, Putt, Splash – the Ultimate Combo Day!
Ages 5-13 onlyWe’re starting the fun with a friendly game of ten-pin bowling, followed by a round of mini golf where kids can test their aim and enjoy some friendly competition. After all that excitement, we’ll cool off with a refreshing swim at the Richmond Aquatic Centre, complete with pool games. Don’t forget to pack closed-toe shoes, togs, and a towel for this fun-filled day of variety and adventure!
Gear up for a High-Energy Day of Action and Adventure!
Ages 5-13 onlyWe’re heading to the Indoor Action Centre, where kids can enjoy a range of exciting games and activities in a safe, all-weather space — perfect for burning off that holiday energy! Afterward, we’ll cool down with a swim at the Richmond Aquatic Centre for pool play. Be sure to pack sports shoes, togs, and a towel for this action-packed day.
Classic Cars & Cool Pools – A Day to Remember!

Ages 5-13 onlyGet ready for an unforgettable day at Cable Bay Adventure Park! Soar high above the treetops on the thrilling Skywire—one of the world’s longest flying fox rides—then slow things down with a relaxing picnic surrounded by stunning scenery. We’ll finish the day meeting and hanging out with the friendly animals at the park. It’s the perfect mix of adrenaline and chill! Minimum hight of 120mm!
