WELCOME TO THE SUMMER HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
Get ready for an epic summer of adventure, friendship, fun, and unforgettable moments with the Lido Chill Out Epic Summer Holiday Programme!
We've packed these holidays with an exciting mix of adrenaline filled activities, including Splash Planet, Day Raves, kayaking adventures, baking challenges, Movies, water fights, christmas week joy, creative projects and the action packed trips youve come to know from us. We've also got our epic Senior Overnight Camp to Taranaki, featuring glowworm caves, kayaking, high ropes course, Pioneer Village, and a boat trip to see the seals,l plus so much more. Seniors 9 -14 of age with only 18 spots avaliable!
Here at Chill Out, we believe kids should be active, get creative, try new things, make new friends, and challenge themselves. Whether your child loves adventure, getting messy, exploring the outdoors, or simply having fun with friends, there's something for everyone on our holiday programme.
At Chill Out, we believe holiday care is more than just childcare. We create opportunities for children to build confidence, form connections, develop new skills, push themselves outside their comfort zone, and discover what they're capable of.
Most importantly, we create more than just memories that last five minutes... we create memories that last a lifetime.
Programme Hours
The programme operates daily from 6:30am to 6:00pm.
A fee of $5.00 per child applies for children attending before 8:00am.
All children must arrive by 9:00am for roll call unless an earlier departure time is specified in the activity description. Please carefully read each activity blurb to ensure your child arrives on time and comes prepared for the day's adventure.
Important Enrolment Information
To attend the programme, children must be able to demonstrate age appropriate school independence, including:
- Using the toilet independently.
- Changing themselves before and after swimming.
- Managing their own belongings.
Due to child protection policies, staff are unable to assist children with toileting or changing.
Please note:
- Enrolments cannot be approved if there are outstanding fees from previous bookings.
- All outstanding balances must be paid before new bookings can be confirmed.
- All bookings must be completed through our online booking system at www.chilloutkids.co.nz.
What to Bring Each Day
To ensure your child has a fantastic day, please send them with:
- Morning tea
- Lunch
- Afternoon tea
- A refillable drink bottle
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for the day's activities
- Togs/towel/rash shirt are non negotiable everyday due to high numbers of swimmers during summer we are unable to run alternative activties.
- Hat
- Sunscreen - please provide your own sunscreen if your child is allergic we have sunscreen on site.
Many of our activities include swimming at Lido Aquatic Centre or another swimming facility.
Children attending must be able to independently change before and after swimming.
Book Early
Lido chillout holiday programmes are extremely popular and spaces fill quickly. I encourage families to enrol early to avoid missing out on their preferred activity days.

CHRISTMAS AT CHILLOUT
Ages 5-14 onlyWe're off to the Christmas Cave at Te Manawa, then heading to Lido for lunch and a swim! Staying after 3pm? We'll be making Christmas cards for residents at a local rest home to spread some festive cheer.
CHRISTMAS MOVIE
Ages 5-14 onlyChristmas Movie Day! We're off to the movies to catch a Christmas flick, then heading to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying for the afternoon? We'll be getting creative with some fun Christmas arts and crafts!
DAY RAVE - SANTA SLAM
Ages 5-14 onlySanta Slam Day Rave! Get ready for pumping beats, dance-offs, games, and prizes at our Santa Slam Day Rave! Don't forget your togs. We'll cool off before finishing the day with a Christmas party and festive games.
DANCE FEVER -NEW STAR DANCE JNR
Ages 5-8 onlyToday ,We're heading to New Star Dance to learn some new moves and take part in a fun dance class! Then it's off to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another exciting activity planned to finish off the day!

Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're off to the beautiful Victoria Esplanade for a day of adventure. We'll explore the playground, take on a scavenger hunt, and enjoy a bush walk before heading back to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to finish off the day!
ULTIMATE MASTERCHEF
Ages 9-14 onlyToday we're becoming chefs for the day! We'll create our own restaurant, set a budget, shop for ingredients, and work together to deliver a show-stopping meal. After lunch, we'll head to the pool for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to finish off the day!
ITS DOMAINZING
Ages 5-14 onlyToday we're heading to Ashhurst Domain for a day of outdoor adventure. We'll spend time by the river, race down the flying fox, skim rocks, and explore the bush tracks before heading back to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the adventure going!
WATER SAFETY / FLIPPABALL
Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're learning all about water safety with the Swim Magic team. We'll put on our life jackets, jump off the boat, and build confidence in and around the water. Then it's off to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to round out the day!
KAYAKING ON THE LAGOON
Ages 9-14 onlyToday we're heading to the lagoon for a kayaking adventure. Enjoy being out on the water, exploring nature, and building your paddling skills before heading back to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!

Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're hitting the road to explore some of the region's best playgrounds, visiting parks in Marton, Feilding, and Palmerston North on our fabulous Park Crawl. We'll climb, swing, slide, and play our way through the day before heading back to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned!
ART ATTACK
Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're getting our art on! Get creative, get messy, and unleash your imagination as you create your next masterpiece. Then we'll head to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to finish off the day!
OFF THE LOOP /SURF LIFE SAVING
Ages 9-14 onlyToday we're heading to the Aqua Park to ride the biscuit and tackle the obstacle course, before making our way to Foxton Beach for lunch and some surf lifesaving skills. Then we'll head back to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going
PAMPER DAY
Ages 5-8 onlyIt's time to relax and unwind. Treat yourself to face masks, foot spas, mini manicures, and a day of self-care with friends. Take five, slow down, and enjoy being pampered! Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!
ESPLANDE ADVENTURE AND MINIGOLF
Ages 9-14 onlyToday we are heading to the Esplanade today for a bush walk and a play, then we will hit some balls at the Lions minigolf. Then we will head back to Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We have another fun activity planned.
WELLINGTON ZOO/TE PAPA
Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're taking our juniors on a big day of adventure! We'll explore Te Papa, visit the amazing animals at Wellington Zoo, and on the way home we'll stop at Levin Adventure Park for a play. It's a packed day full of fun, discovery, and adventure. Please note: the trip leaves at 6:30am sharp.
KUNG FU
Ages 9-14 onlyTime to brush up on your self-defence skills and learn from a Kung Fu master. Discover new techniques, build confidence, and have fun while mastering some awesome moves. Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!
MINUTE TO WIN IT
Ages 5-14 onlyToday we're splitting into teams to see if you've got what it takes to win it in a minute! Take on a series of fast-paced challenges, work together, and battle it out for bragging rights. Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!
MINI GOLF AND MAKINO POOL
Ages 5-8 onlyWe're off to Feilding today to take on the mini golf course before heading to Makino Pool for a swim and a chance to cool off. Then we'll visit Kowhai Park for even more fun before making our way back to Lido. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!
IT'S A MORNING SHOW
Ages 9-14 onlyToday you'll work in teams to create your very own morning show. Write a script, invent your characters, and bring it all to life as you perform live for our studio audience. Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!
DAY RAVE - WATERFIGHT
Ages 5-14 onlyDay Rave is back! Get ready for epic games, dance-offs, awesome prizes, and the biggest water fight Palmy has ever seen. Togs are essential! Bring your energy and prepare to get soaked! BAKING BUDDIES
Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're baking up a storm! From cakes and slices to cupcakes and sweet treats, it's time to get creative in the kitchen and show off your baking skills. Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!

Ages 9-14 onlyToday we're heading to Splash Planet in Hastings for an action-packed day of fun. Take on the water slides, ride the train, cool off in the pools, and make the most of one of our favourite summer adventures. Please note: the trip leaves at 6:30am sharp
PYJAMAPOOLOOZA
Ages 5-14 onlyNo need to get dressed today, just roll out of bed and come in your PJs! We'll enjoy movies, popcorn, party games, and all the fun of a mini slumber party with friends. Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? We've got another fun activity planned to keep the day going!
CHILLOUT OVERNIGHT CAMP TARANAKI
Ages 9-14 onlyGet ready for the ULTIMATE Chill Out overnight camp at Vertical Horizons! We're packing in the thrills with high ropes, kayaking, glowworm caves, Pioneer Village, Pukekura Park, museum adventures, wave pool fun, a sizzling BBQ and MORE! Two days of epic adventures, awesome friendships and memories that'll last a lifetime!
MASK MAKING
Ages 5-14 onlyToday we'll be exploring the art of papier-mâché as we create our own fabulous masquerade masks. Let your imagination run wild as you design and decorate a masterpiece that's uniquely yours. Then we'll head to Lido for lunch and a swim. Staying after 3pm? Ages 5-14 onlyToday we're heading to Whanganui for a day of adventure! We'll explore Kowhai Park, enjoy a walk around Virginia Lake, and cool off with a swim at Splash Centre. Then we'll head back to Lido for a relaxed afternoon as we celebrate the last day of the holidays. Staying after 3pm? We've got one final fun activity planned to finish the holidays in style!
OSCAR Subsidy
We are proud to be OSCAR and WINZ approved, meaning many families may be eligible for financial assistance towards programme fees. Some families may be able to save up to 80% or more on their holiday programme costs through the OSCAR Subsidy.
If you would like assistance with your application, please visit us at the facility and we'll help complete the required forms. We strongly encourage families to begin the subsidy process early to avoid disappointment.
We are happy to submit completed forms directly to WINZ on your behalf.
A $40 deposit per child is required for all WINZ holiday programme bookings. Bookings will remain in a pending status until the deposit has been received. WINZ-funded bookings cannot be approved until the deposit has been paid.
