CHILL OUT SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
Join us for our second Chill Out School Holiday Programme at the Wairoa Community Centre!
We're running it back with some crowd favourites including the Movies, Library Day, Park Skate Bowl and a fun Pool Party Day!
Chill Out offers a safe, stimulating and fun environment for your school aged child/children.
The School Holiday Programme operates from 8:00am - 5:30pm
Children require everyday:
- Lunch
- Drink Bottle
- Closed Toed Shoes
Enrolments fill up fast so you need to get in quick and early to confirm your childs place on the programme. WINZ forms to be completed before the programme starts with a $40 deposit per child before the booking can be approved.

Olympics Day
Ages 5-14 onlyGet ready for a fun-filled day of friendly competition! Our rangatahi will team up and take on a range of Olympic-inspired games, races and challenges, lets get that teamwork, confidence and good sportsmanship going for the first day of our programme ... will you take home the gold? After our olympic athletes have wrapped up our competition we'll be cooling off with a swim ... bring your togs!
MasterChef
Ages 5-14 onlyBring your aprons, chefs! It’s time to put your kitchen skills to the test with some fun cooking challenges and tasty creations. Who has what it takes to be crowned our Chill Out MasterChef team? After our meke kai creations we'll be burning the energy off in the stadium, at the playground and in the pool!
Cinema Day - The Gaiety Theatre
Ages 5-14 onlyDefinitely a popular activity - we are heading to the Gaiety Theatre to watch a movie on the big screen! Not only that but our rangatahi will enjoy their own drink and snack, courtsey of the Gaiety's snack packs they have in store for us! Seats will be limited so get your booking in ASAP to secure your spot. Don't forget your togs!
Old School Party Day
Ages 5-14 onlyWe're throwing it back with a day we're sure our tamariki and rangatahi will love! It's an old school party! Pass the parcel, fairy bread and a pinata but it doesn't stop there! You won't want to miss this day! Do you know any old school bombs in the pool? Book in and show the team what you got.
Services Day
Ages 5-14 onlyCalling all heroes! Join us for a day all about our amazing emergency services. Our tamariki and rangatahi will learn, explore and take part in fun hands-on activities while discovering what it takes to help keep our community safe! Could we apply some of the safety we learn during a swim? ... make sure you bring your togs to cool off after.
Wheels Day
Ages 5-14 onlyBring your wheels! Bikes, scooters, blades or skates - we will be visiting the Alexandra Park Skate Bowl for a fun active day of moving around and seeing who can conquer the obstacle course! What better way to cool down afterwards than with a swim in our warm Aquatic Centre, don't forget your togs!
Scavengar Hunt Day
Ages 5-14 onlyGet ready to search, solve and explore! Our tamariki and rangatahi will work together to crack clues, complete challenges and hunt down hidden treasures. Bring your best detective skills — the hunt is on! After all our mahis done lets make a splash in our pool to cool down!
Library Day
Ages 5-14 onlyLibrary Day is on the holiday programme once again! Join us for a fun-filled day of stories, discovery, activities and all the fun things the library has to offer. A great day for curious minds, creativity and adventure! We'll enjoy a scenic lunch on the grass once we're done and head back for an afternoon at the playground and making waves in our pool!
Fear Factor Day
Ages 5-14 onlyThink you’re brave enough? Our tamariki and rangatahi will face a series of weird, wacky and slightly gross challenges designed to test their courage! Expect plenty of laughs, surprises and a few NO WAY! moments. After our fun-filled morning we'll be in the pool cooling off!
Pool Party Day
Ages 5-14 onlyPool Party Day is back! A fan favourite with our Inflatables, music and games… it’s another epic pool party! Get ready for a day of aquatic games, laughter and poolside energy as we turn up the vibes for an unforgettable day in the water! You don't want to miss this day!
