Christmas Holidays December 2025
Chill Out Masterton is running a one-week holiday programme from Monday 15th December to Friday 19th December.
This programme will run in conjunction with the Before and After School Care programme during this week and the programme hours will operate between 8.30am and 3.30pm. If you would like extra care outside these hours, please ensure you select the before or after care options when booking.
There are limited spaces available due to the staff that are available during this time.
Everyday kids MUST bring a hat, drink bottle, food for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and togs for days we are swimming.
We will provide a fun, friendly, qualified team to ensure your kids are safe and well looked after.
Please note if your child is absent, you must give 72 hours’ notice or you will be charged the full fee. Absences on the day are CHARGED AT FULL PRICE. There will be NO refunds for cancelations of trip days due to the costs involved to run these.
All WINZ forms must be completed before 12th December to ensure this is paid before the end of the year. Any forms received after this date will not be accepted and parents will be required to pay the full amount.
OSCAR and MSD approved with WINZ subsidies available - you could save up to 80% on your fees if not more!
Please remember to drop your WINZ forms in before the holidays in plenty of time and allow 24 hours for them to be completed.

IMPORTANT: Friday 19th December will be the last day that the Chill Out programme will operate from the current location. Our programme will be moving across to join the Belgravia team at the Trust House Recreation Centre. You will still see our friendly staff and experience the same programme, just in a different location and under the name B-Legends.
Park and Chill
Ages 5-13 onlyWe are heading down to Queen Elizabeth Park this morning to beat the heat of the day. We'll play at the playground, wander around the grounds and have lunch on the grass. Back at CLM for the afternoon we have an inhouse movie, crafts and ice blocks to cool off in the afternoon.
Christmas Crafts & Baking
Ages 5-13 onlyWe have crafts galore today! Christmas cards, Ornaments, letters to Santa and much more! With a dash of baking cookies to decorate to keep the Christmas spirit going
Park Crawl
Ages 5-13 onlyHow many parks can we hit in one day? Lets find out. Today we are off to Featherston, Martinborough, Greytown and Carterton Park. Please make sure kids have a hat and water bottle today.
Swimming and Christmas Crafts
Ages 5-13 onlyBring along your togs today as we are heading down to the Masterton Pools for a swim in the morning. In the afternoon we are back at Chill Out for more Christmas crafts, melty beads and bracelet making.
Lets Party!
Ages 5-13 onlyWe are heading down to Henley this morning for a walk before settling in for a fun afternoon at Chill Out! We have some party food, music and fun stuff planned for the afternoon to celebrate our last day at CLM.
Depending on the activites the prices for each day are different. Our trip days cost more then our on site days. Please check each day for the cost.
Please note that we have had a price increase across all of our programmes. This help to cover all costs that are involved with running a fantastic programme for you and your kids.
A $40 deposit is also payable at time booking or your bookings will not be approved. WINZ forms must be completed before the start of the programme (last day to bring forms is Friday 30th June) or your booking will not be approved.
Our day is from 8.30am - 3.30pm. There is no discount given if you pick up before 3.30pm - the charge is for the day, not hours.
We do offer care from 6.45am-8.30am but there is an additional cost of for this and you will need to add the BEFORE CARE at time of booking on the days you require to drop off before 8.30am. Breakfast can be provided for kids that are booked in for BEFORE CARE.
After Care from 3.30pm-5.45pm is also available at an additional cost. Please ensure you select this option when booking in.
We are WINZ and OSCAR approved. Please read the winz information below:
1) Check out the WINZ website regarding OSCAR (Out of school care) subsidies, there are certain criteria you must meet before applying. Click this link to take you to the page: how OSCAR subsidy works
- You must be working or studying to qualify for subsidy
- The amount you receive is directly related to
i. The number of children in your care
ii. Your income.
iii. Winz will pay a maximum of 20 hours/week at $6.52/hour and 50 hours/week for holiday care. Check out the rates here: oscar-subsidy-current.
Please do not assume that WINZ will cover the full cost of care.
2) You will need to go into winz and collect the correct forms – you are applying for the OSCAR subsidy for Holiday care ( Holiday programme care)
3) WINZ will give you a large pack – this pack needs to be completed by you, with all the required evidence attached
4) There is a form at the back which will include a OSCAR SUBSIDY DECLERATION form – this is the only form we require. We are required to complete this part and in order to do so will need a booking in the system- Chill Out Kids booking
5) You will need to return ALL the forms back to winz so they can process the application.
6) You should receive a letter or correspondence through your MyMSD account which will detail the outcome of your application. It should tell you if you have been successful or not, and if so, how much you are entitled to.
i. Sometimes they my require further details – you must ensure you submit these as soon as possible.
7) Depending on the amount you receive from winz will depend on if you will need to make top up payments to cover your care.
e.g. you book in for 5 x after school cares a week at $25.30/day. That’s $126.50 / week for care (20 hours $25.30/$6.38).
Winz have accessed that you are entitled to 15 hours of care or $95.70/ week based on your income.
You will need to set up a direct debit into our account for $30.80 / week to cover the difference.
Failure to; or a delay in completing the forms, supplying additional information or hand in the forms may result in your application missing the cut off date. If this happens you will be required to pay for the full cost of care.
Some people find it easier to pay smaller amounts into our account weekly to help cover additional costs in the holidays.
Due to the cost of travel and activities in the holidays, our weekly care cost is sometimes higher then the subsidy amount available.
You have the options here of not booking for every day, to help manage that cost. However if you need a full week of care and you know that the subsidy will not cover the full amount then smaller payments throughout the year can help manage this. We just apply those payments as account funds in to your Chill Out Account so you can use them against future programmes.
