Summer School Holiday Programme 2025/2026

ENROL NOW as we book up fast and we don't want you to miss out!
Our School Holiday Programme operates from the Redsox Clubrooms (916 Tremaine Ave: down the long driveway beside Norwoods Machinery). We are open from 6.30am - 6:00pm every day. An extra charge of $5.00 applies if your child/children will attend the programme before 8:00am. We ask that all children are onsite by 9:00am for roll call every day, unless specified in the activity details that require us to leave earlier. Please check the activities you have booked for every day to ensure you do not miss any important details and that your child/children come to the programme prepared each day.
OSCAR Subsidy
We are OSCAR and WINZ approved, meaning you may be eligible for a payment subsidy. You could save up to 80% on your fees if not more! We encourage you to visit us at the facility (Red Sox Clubrooms) for us to fill in your forms. We strongly encourage those parents/caregivers who are applying for WINZ subsidies to start this process early to avoid disappointment. We are happy to email your forms directly to WINZ when they are completed and your deposit is paid. All WINZ bookings require a deposit to be paid per booking which is $40 per child for School Holiday Programme. If deposits are not paid prior to the commencement of the holiday booking, your booking cannot be approved. Bookings will remain on the ‘Pending’ status until payment/deposit has been made.
Important Enrolment Information
- All children are required to show “school behaviours” such as being able to change themselves, and using the toilet unassisted. Staff are unable to assist with helping children get changed or help with toileting due to child protection policies.
- Enrolments will not be approved if there are outstanding fees on previous bookings. If there is an unpaid fee/s for a previous booking, a new booking cannot be approved until fees are paid in full.
- Bookings must be completed in full on the Online Booking System: www.chilloutkids.co.nz.
Day to Day Important Information
Everyday your child/children must have plenty of food for the day, which includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea as well as a refillable drink bottle. Please do not send your child/children with noodles or other food that requires cooking or heating as we may not always be onsite at eating times . It's also important that your child/children wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the day's activitiy. Please also send them with their swimming attire (togs, towel and goggles) as we will swim at Freyberg Community Pool or offsite (if it is in the day's activity plan). We require your child/children to be able to dress themselves before and after swimming.
Enrolments fill up fast so get in quick and early to confirm your child’s place on the programme.

Park and Swimming
Ages 5-14 onlyToday we will head to the park for a play and enjoy being outside. We will then head back to Red Sox for lunch and games, and also head to the pool for a refreshing swim.
Stem Challenges + Swimming
Ages 5-14 onlyCome spend the morning enjoying some challenges and tasks, a great activity for those creative minds! We will then head to the pool for a swim.
Christmas Crafts + Baking
Ages 5-14 onlyLet's get creative and see what cool and fun Christmas decorations we can make, you can then take these home to display on your own Christmas Tree! We'll then bake some yummy treats and enjoy a swim too.
In-House Christmas Movie and treats
Ages 5-14 onlyWe'll be playing a Christmas Classic today at Red Sox with some yummy treats. We will then have time at the park afterwards to run around and burn off that energy. To finish the day at Freyberg Community Pool to have a dip in the water for the afternoon.
Amazing Race + Swimming
Ages 5-14 onlyTeams, clues, and challenges await! You’ll be racing around in our very own Amazing Race, testing your problem-solving skills and teamwork to reach the finish line. Once the challenges are complete, we’ll cool off with a swim at Freyberg Pool, then relax and enjoy some delicious pizza together. A full day of fun, friendly competition, and great food!
Lido & Esplanade
Ages 5-14 onlyWe are down to 3 sleeps before Christmas arrives, let's head to the Lido Aquatic Centre to enjoy swimming in both the indoor and outdoor pools. We will also be heading to the Esplanade to spend time on the playground. Leaving 10.00am returning 3pm.
Ashhurst Domain + BBQ
Ages 5-14 onlyWe are hitting the road and heading to Ashhurst to enjoy our time at the domain where we will enjoy the playground and have a BBQ lunch too. We will then head to Splashhurst Pool to have a swim and cool off before heading back to Red Sox. Leaving 9.30am returning 3pm.
Christmas Party
Ages 5-14 onlyIt’s time to celebrate the festive season together! We’ll be enjoying a shared lunch with the Lido Chill Out. Let’s finish the year with plenty of laughter, good food, and Christmas cheer! WE CLOSE AT 4PM
New Years Party
Ages 5-14 onlyWelcome to Chill Out 2026! We will be running our own countdown, creating our own decorations, enjoying party games and taking snaps in our Photo Booth! We will also be providing lunch and taking the kids for a swim at Freyberg Community Pool. What a way to start the New Year!
Wheels Day
Ages 5-8 onlyGet ready to roll! Bring along your favourite set of wheels – bikes, scooters, or skateboards – and join us for a fun-filled day at the Esplanade course. We’ll ride, race, and enjoy the sunshine while showing off our best tricks and skills. Don’t forget your helmet and a big smile!
Timezone
Ages 9-14 onlyWe’re spending the morning having some fun and enjoying the games that Time Zone has on offer. Will then head to the park for a run around before heading back to the pool for a swim the relax with a movie too.
Lido Pool Party
Ages 5-14 onlyThe Lido Aquatic Centre will be hosting us today for their Pool Party! You can expect games for the kids, the latest music playing, inflatables, prizes and a whole lot of fun! Don't forget to pack your togs and towel. Leaving at 9.30am returning 3pm.
Foxton Pool & Park
Ages 5-8 onlyThe juniors will head to Foxton today to enjoy some sun and swimming before meeting the seniors at the playground in the afternoon for an ice block. Leaving 9.15am returning at 3pm.
Off the Loop Foxton
Ages 9-14 onlyLet's pack our bags as we are headed to Foxton! Join us at Off the Loop where kids will be able to enjoy the inflatable park and biscuiting in the man-made lake! As a treat all the kids will be able to enjoy an ice block at the end of the day. A trip not to be missed! Leaving 9.15am returning 3pm.
Back to Nature
Ages 5-14 onlyThere is nothing better during summertime than being outdoors and enjoying NZ Nature! We will be spending time at Ahimate Reserve for games and fun, enjoying the views of the river and exploring during our bush walk. Bring a big drink bottle to keep yourself hydrated!
Chillout Idol
Ages 5-14 onlyThe stage is yours! Sing, dance, or show off your special talent in our very own Chill Out Idol. Cheer on your friends, enjoy the performances, and soak up the spotlight in a fun, supportive atmosphere. After the show, we’ll cool down with a refreshing swim at Freyberg Pool in the afternoon, the perfect way to wrap up a day of music and laughter.
Bowling
Ages 5-14 onlyWe’re heading to Bowlarama for a day of friendly competition and heaps of fun! Test your bowling skills on the lanes, Whether you’re aiming for a strike or a gutter ball, it’s sure to be a day full of laughs and great memories!
Creative Minds
Ages 5-14 onlyIt's time to get creative! We will have a number of projects for the kids to enjoy including tie-dyeing, paper bridge challenge and soap boat racing (they will need to bring a white item of clothing to dye) Bring your togs too, we will end the afternoon with having a swim at Freyberg Community Pool.
Movies + Swimming
Ages 5-14 onlyWhat a combo, movies and pools in the same day! We are heading to Event Cinemas to enjoy the latest flick on the big screen. Once we've finished up it's then off to Freyberg Pool for a swim to end the day. Leaving 9.30am back at 3pm.
Kiwiana Day
Ages 5-14 onlyLet’s enjoy everything that is New Zealand! The kids will be able to enjoy a Fish n Chips lunch, gumboot throwing, mini pavlova making, a NZ icon quiz and much more! Let's enjoy our Kiwi culture with this great day.
Cave Adventure
Ages 9-14 onlyGet ready for an awesome day of virtual fun! Jump into exciting VR experiences, race in high-speed simulators and take on thrilling escape rooms with your friends. It’s going to be an action-packed adventure you won’t want to miss!
Feilding Mini Golf + Makino Pools
Ages 5-14 onlyWe’re off to Feilding for a fun-filled day out! First, we’ll take on the Feilding Mini Golf course. After our round, we’ll cool off and relax with a swim at the Makino Pool with the seniors. Leaving 10.00am, returning 3.00pm.
Day Rave

Whether it’s Staff vs Kids or Lido vs Freyberg, there’ll be plenty of laughs, challenges, and chances to show your team spirit. Come ready to play, cheer, and have an awesome time together!
Cloud 9 + Swimming
Ages 5-14 onlyBounce, flip, and soar at Cloud 9, where trampolines, obstacle courses, and heaps of fun await! After working up an appetite for adventure, we’ll cool down with a refreshing swim at Freyberg Pool, the perfect way to finish an action-packed day.
Esplanade Adventure
Ages 5-14 onlyExplore, play, and enjoy the great outdoors at the Esplanade! Climb, swing, and race around the playground, or simply relax and soak up the sunshine. It’s a day packed with fun, friends, and plenty of space to let your energy run wild.
Masterton Go Zone
Ages 5-8 onlyBounce, flip, and soar at Masterton Go Zone! Spend the day jumping on trampolines, tackling obstacle courses, and having heaps of fun with friends. It’s a full day of energy, laughter, and non-stop action! Leaving 8.00am, returning 4.00pm.
Cyperpunk/Clip and Climb
Ages 9-14 onlyGet ready for a day full of challenges and fun in Wellington! Tackle the Cyberpunk obstacle course, testing your agility, balance, and speed, then head to Clip n Climb to climb, reach, and conquer the walls. It’s a day packed with adventure, energy, and plenty of laughs! Leaving 8.00am, returning 4.00pm
Skating + Baking
Ages 5-14 onlyJoin us for a day of fun on the ice and in the kitchen! Glide, spin, and show off your moves with help from our very own staff skating prodigy, Linnéa. After skating, we’ll warm up and get creative by baking some delicious treats together. A perfect mix of action and tasty fun!
Back to School Party
Ages 5-14 onlyIn preparation of school starting soon, we will be getting involved with games and crafts with a school theme, also school lunch at Red Sox. We are off to Freyberg Community Pool for a dip in the water in the afternoon so don’t forget togs and a towel.
Chillax Day
Ages 5-14 onlyWe have made it through the Summer School Holidays! Before we head back to school we will be running our Chillax Day you can enjoy our in-house movies, games and activities, and baking! To top it all off, let's then head for a swim at Freyberg Community Pool.
