Welcome to the Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre School Holiday Programme
Be part of the exciting September/October School Holiday Programme at Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre Chill Out for your school-aged child. With a thrilling range of activities that includes an Team Building challenges, Massey Park Pool Day Rave Pool Party, Motat, Rock Climbing, trip to the Cinemas and so much more. This School Holiday Programme has something for everyone.
At Franklin Chill Out our goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in which kids come together, explore new activities, forge new relationships and, make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime!
The programme operates from 9am to 3pm and can be extended with Before Care (7:00am to 9am) and After Care (3pm to 6pm). Please note if your child is absent refunds are only given with 72 hours’ notice during the School Holidays. If your child is sick on the day full charge will apply.
For the upcoming week, children must come prepared with a hat, a drink bottle, a large lunch and sunscreen. Additionally, they must bring their swimwear every day. Alternative activities will be offered for kids who do not swim.
We are MSD approved, and WINZ subsidies are also available for families in our community – you could save up to 80% on your fees if not more! We encourage you to visit us at the Centre for us to fill in your forms. Applications are in high demand, with WINZ forms needing to be completed and a $40 deposit collected per child before a booking is confirmed.

MOTAT & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyVisit MOTAT, a science and technology museum for everyone. MOTAT is a great destination to explore, discover, learn, play and spark imaginations.
Let's play Squash!
Ages 5-13 onlyAuckland Squash are coming to Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre to play Squash! Join us for some on court action learning and playing. Caters for all ages and skill levels. In the afternoon we will enjoying a relaxing swim, don't forget your togs!
Rock Climbing and Swimming
Ages 5-13 onlyWe're off to Redhill Community Centre to scale their rock-climbing wall. Will you be the first to the top? A great active activity for all children and skill level. Let's finish off the day with a swim back at Franklin Pool & Leisure Centre.
Archery Tag & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyWe have Be Active joining us today to delivery archery as a new activity for our children! Archery is a fun and engaging activity that can help develop various skills like focus and patience. Let's cool off in the afternoon with a refreshing swim.
Ambury Farm Trip & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyAmbury Farm, located within Ambury Regional Park, is a working farm offering a unique, close-up experience with farm animals and rural scenery. Chill Out will be seeing various animals, including sheep, cows, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and peacocks. Don't forget your togs as we will be swimming in the afternoon.
Ten Pin Bowling & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyToday we will be visiting the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club to enjoy Ten-Pin Blowing! Who will bowl a strike or a spare? Can you beat the staff? To finish the day, we will be having a swim back at Franklin Pool & Leisure Centre.
Chill Out Treasure Hunt and Swimming!
Ages 5-13 onlyLet's go on a pirate Treasure Hunt around Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre. A fun activity where children will follow a series of clues to find hidden items, with "treasure" at the end being a prize or a treat. Pack your togs as we will be swimming later in the day.
Massey Park Day Rave
Ages 5-13 onlyWe're off to Massey Park Pool in Papakura to enjoy the Day Rave Pool Party for kids! You can expect games, competitions, hydroslide, Waves, Lazy River, Aquarun, Music and prizes! Who will win the bombing competition or the Cliffhanger game? Get ready for a day filled with fun and excitement!
Paradice Ice Skating Botany
Ages 5-13 onlyWrap up warm because we are off to the ice! Join us for a trip to Botany to visit Paradice Ice Skating, providing a fun and safe environment for ice skater for all ages and skill levels. Make sure to pack warm clothing, socks, and a big drink bottle.
Pukekohe Cinema & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlySit back, relax, put your feet up and enjoy the latest movie on the big screen. A great way to finish off our School Holiday Programme. Our movies trip is one of the most popular, secure your spot now! Don't forget togs to enjoy a swim back at the facility.
