Come down to the Whangarei Aquatic Centre and enrol your children into our exciting July School Holiday Programme! These holidays are going to be an epic programme full of adventures, creativity, prizes and of course lots of swimming each day.
Chill Out offers a safe, stimulating and fun environment for your school aged child/children. Our staff are experienced and we are OSCAR and WINZ approved so you may be eligible for a payment subsidy.
The School Holiday Programme operates from 9am-3pm, with additonal Before Care available from 7am-9am and After Care from 3pm-6pm. We offer a wide range of interactive, age appropriate activities throughout the day to keep the children occupied and having fun.
Enrolments fill up fast so you need to get in quick and early to confirm your child's place on the programme. We also strongly encourage those parent/caregivers who are applying for WINZ subsidies to start this process early to avoid disappointment and your subsidy application being declined.
Please bring a packed lunch for the day, water bottle, shoes, and swim wear. We also have avalibility to purchase lunch from the cafe - just let the staff know and order on arrival.

Movies on the Big Screen
Ages 5-13 onlyLights, camera, action! Join us for a thrilling day at the movies, where we'll watch the latest blockbuster on the big screen. Grab your popcorn, sit back and enjoy. Bring your togs as we will be cooling off in the pool afterwards.
Building Burgers and Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyIt's time to build your own burger! An active day starting with our morning warm up and play. then we get creative with burger building right in time for lunch. We hit the pool for the afternoon, also a movie for those who want to chill.
Adventure to Flip Out
Ages 5-13 onlyGet ready to bounce, flip, and soar at the ultimate trampoline park adventure! Whether you're jumping into the air bag, trying out epic tricks, or simply jumping for joy. It's the perfect way to burn off energy and have a blast with friends! Remember your togs, because when we get back, we'll cool down with a relaxing swim.
Mid Winter Christmas Party
Ages 5-13 onlyWe will celebrate the end of the first week of the holidays by setting the table and all coming together to enjoy a warm, mid-winter Christmas lunch. Before lunch we will spend some time playing games to share a laugh or two. Followed by a classic Christmas movie in the afternoon.
PJ Party
Ages 5-13 onlyCome to Chill Out in your comfiest PJ’s today as we have a relaxing day chilling out. There will be movies, games, a pamper session including face masks and fake tattoos. Fort building and more! Also bring your togs for a swim in the pool.
Lion Park Adventure 2.0
Ages 5-13 onlyGet ready for a wild day out at the Lion Park! Come face-to-face with majestic lions as we explore their habitat up close. Learn fascinating facts, enjoy an exciting Safari experience, and see these amazing animals in action. It's the perfect adventure for animal lovers.
Kiwiana 2025
Ages 5-13 onlyWe're proud to be Kiwi! So come join in the fun with some old-fashioned games, gumboot throwing, 3 legged races, a mini-Kiwi quiz and get your hands on some of our cool prizes. For the afternoon we will get into the pool and enjoy some swim time!
Action Zone
Ages 5-13 onlyWho’s got their eye in on the game? We’re off to Action Zone, so get ready for a game of Bowling and Laser Tag. Who will be able to bowl a strike or take the most points? Then it’s back to the pool for a fun swim in the pool.
Northland Taniwha Fun Day
Ages 5-13 onlyWe have the superstar Northland Taniwha rugby team visiting our facility today! You will be able to meet the players, challenge them to a bombing competition, pass a rugby ball and enjoy a Sausage Sizzle. Don't forget to ask for autographs!
Pizza & Pool Party Extravaganza!
Ages 5-13 onlyJoin us for the ultimate summer hangout! We’ll kick things off by sharing some delicious pizza, loaded with all your favourite toppings. Then, dive into a fun-filled pool party—splashing, relaxing, and enjoying the sunshine! It's the perfect mix of tasty food and poolside fun. Don’t miss out on this slice of paradise!
