Welcome to the Lido School Holiday Programme
Be part of the exciting July School Holiday Programme at Lido Aquatic Centre Chill Out for your school-aged child. With a thrilling range of activities that includes an Movies, Day Rave, Manawatu Gym Sports, Bowling and so much more. This school holiday programme has something for everyone.
At Lido Chill Out our goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in which kids to come together, explore new activities, forge new relationships and, make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime!
The programme operates from 9 am to 3 pm and can be extended with beforecare (6:30 am to 8:30am) sessions. Please note if your child is absent refunds are only given with 72 hours’ notice during the School Holidays. If your child is sick on the day full charge will apply. Fees must be paid in advance as per our Terms and Conditions on our website.
For the upcoming week, children must come prepared with a hat, a drink bottle, a large lunch and sunscreen. Additionally, they must bring their swimwear every day. Alternative activities will be offered for kids who do not swim.
We are MSD-approved, and WINZ subsidies are also available for families in our community – you could save up to 80% on your fees if not more! We encourage you to visit us at the Centre for us to fill in your forms. Applications are in high demand, with WINZ forms needing to be completed and a $40 deposit collected per child before a booking is confirmed.

Tabloid Sports Day
Ages 5-8 onlyFrom Tug-o-War, Sack Races, Three-Legged Races, Hurdles, to agility courses, come and enjoy some fun competition with our Tabloid Sports Day at Chill Out. A variety of prizes can be won throughout the day... Pack your togs too as we will cool off with a swim at the Lido.
Mastermind
Ages 9-14 onlyCome prepared for what challenges are thrown at you today. We will have some wearable Art Challenges, a bit of Fear Factor just to name a few. Also pack a change of clothes and your togs for a swim.
PJ Party Juniors
Ages 5-8 onlyPack your PJ’s, pillow and blanket and get ready to have a slumber party. We will have party games, dancing, challenges, fort building, movies, food and more.
Ninja Warriors
Ages 5-8 onlyToday is about channeling your inner Jackie Chan we will learning some Kung Fu! Dodge the Nerf Bullets as we have a Nerf Battle. Complete the Spider Web Challenge and more.
The Cave
Ages 9-14 onlyToday we head to The Cave to experience the thrill of racing simulators and the magic of VR’s. Before heading to the Lido Aquatic Centre for a swim.
Toy Circus + Levin Aquatic Centre
Ages 5-8 onlyJump aboard the vans and let’s spend the day exploring all the fun things The Toy Circus in Shannon has to offer! We will then be heading to Levin to enjoy a play at the Levin Adventure Park and finishing off with a swim at the Levin Aquatic Centre. Leaving at 9.15am returning 4pm
Slumber Party
Ages 9-14 onlyPack your Pj’s, pillow and blanket and get ready to have a slumber party. We will have party games, dancing, challenges, fort building, movies, food and more!
Cloud 9 + Freyberg Pool
Ages 5-14 onlyBounce and flip to your heart's content at Cloud 9, as you leap across a variety of Trampolines, conquer exciting obstacles, the wall, and dodge the balls in Dodge Ball. Energized and ready for a splash, we’ll head to Freyberg Community Pool for a refreshing swim to cool off.
Palmy Pit Stop
Ages 5-14 onlyGrab a seat in the van, work as team as you make your away around Palmy as you solve clues, complete the challenges. Which team will cross the finish line first? We will then enjoy a pizza lunch and swim.
Kiwiana Day
Ages 5-8 onlyLet’s take it back to some kiwi classics with decorating mini pavlovas, a gumboot throwing competition, Choc Fish eating, Kiwi Challenges and Quizzes and more! We’ll also enjoy a classic kiwi lunch at Chill Out, please be sure to pack your togs as we will head swimming in the afternoon.
Ice Skating & Trampolines
Ages 9-14 onlyWe’re heading down to Upper Hutt to have a go at Ice Skating and the Trampoline Park! An adrenaline filled day not to be missed. Leaving at 8:15am sharp returning at 4:00pm.
Day Rave
Ages 5-14 onlyIt’s that time again the Annual Pool party at the Lido! There will be dancing, games, swimming, competitions and more. All that swimming will build up an appetite so let us refuel you with a make your sub bar for lunch. The afternoon will be filled with games and crafts.
Chipmunks and Splashhurst Pool
Ages 5-14 onlyGrab your socks and togs as we hope in the vans and head to Chipmunks for the morning! Once we have burnt of stuff energy we will head to to Ashhurst Community Pool for a play and a swim.
Kiwiand Day- Seniors
Ages 9-14 onlyLet’s take it back to some kiwi classics with decorating mini pavlovas, a gumboot throwing competition, Choc Fish eating, Kiwi Challenges and Quizzes and more! We’ll also enjoy a classic kiwi lunch at Chill Out, please be sure to pack your togs as we will head swimming in the afternoon.
Smurf Movie
Ages 5-14 onlyCome relax and enjoy the last day of the holidays! We are heading off to enjoy the new Smurf Movie on the big screen. We’ll head back to the Lido for an afternoon of swimming, crafts and games too!
