Welcome to the Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre School Holiday Programme
Be part of the exciting July School Holiday Programme at Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre Chill Out for your school-aged child. With a thrilling range of activities that includes a day with Franklin Basketball, Massey Park Pool Party, the great Chill Out Bake Off, trip to the Cinemas, a trip to Hamilton Zoo and so much more. This school holiday programme has something for everyone.
At Franklin Chill Out our goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in which kids to come together, explore new activities, forge new relationships and, make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime!
The programme operates from 9am to 3pm and can be extended with Before Care (7:00am to 9am) and After Care (3pm to 6pm). Please note if your child is absent refunds are only given with 72 hours’ notice during the School Holidays. If your child is sick on the day full charge will apply. Fees must be paid in advance as per our Terms and Conditions on our website.
For the upcoming week, children must come prepared with a hat, a drink bottle, a large lunch and sunscreen. Additionally, they must bring their swimwear every day. Alternative activities will be offered for kids who do not swim.
We are MSD-approved, and WINZ subsidies are also available for families in our community – you could save up to 80% on your fees if not more! We encourage you to visit us at the Centre for us to fill in your forms. Applications are in high demand, with WINZ forms needing to be completed and a $40 deposit collected per child before a booking is confirmed.

Franklin Basketball Day Camp & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlySpend the day with one of the amazing trainers from Franklin Basketball. Learning and growing your basketball skills in a fun enjoyable environment. Open to all levels of basketball weather you're already a team player or just starting out! There is something for everyone. Don't forget your togs as we will be heading to the pool for a swim in the afternoon.
Chill Out Amazing Race! & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyThis is Chill Out's version of The Great Amazing Race. Find the clues, do the challenges and race to the end. This is all about teamwork and having fun! Don't forget your togs as we will be heading to the pool for a swim in the afternoon.
Mt Albert Pool Day
Ages 5-13 onlyJoin us with a trip to CLM Mt Albert Aquatic Centre where we will be enjoying all this amazing facility has to offer. Hydro slide, waves and a water play area will be some of the features our kids can get involved in. Don't forget to pack your togs and towel!
The Great Chill Out Bake Off! & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyCompetitors will bake their hearts out in a bid to win the title of Chill Out Baker of the Year. Fun baking challenges and a special guest Judge make for an egg-celent day! Don't forget your togs as we will be heading to the pool for a swim in the afternoon.
Cornwall Park Winter Scavenger Hunt
Ages 5-13 onlyA trip to the iconic Cornwall Park in Greenlane to take part in their Winter Scavenger Hunt. We will be exploring 8 different winter wonders around the park. A great activity to be outdoors in the fresh air, pack something warm and a drink bottle for our trip.
Hamilton Zoo
Ages 5-13 onlyLet's go to the Zoo! Travel to Hamilton Zoo with us and enjoy getting up close with all their animals. It's sure to be a fun adventure! Can you find the Tiger, Zebra, Chimpanzee's and Giraffe's?
Wacky Science Day! & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyJoin us for a day filed with wacky science experiments! Mess, explosions and loads of FUN! You might even learn something you didn't know. Don't forget your togs as we will be heading to the pool for a swim in the afternoon.
Massey Park Pool Day Rave
Ages 5-13 onlyIt's party time at CLM Massey Park Pool's Day Rave! Music, games, hydroslide, waves, lazy river and aquarun. There is something for everyone! Games and prizes are up for grabs, who will win the Bombing Compeition?
Let's Get Active! & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyA fun filled day of different sports! Netball, rugby and pickleball. Take advantage of some of our trained staff as they show you, their skills. All skill levels welcome! Don't forget your togs as we will be heading to the pool for a swim in the afternoon.
Movies at Pukekohe Cinema 3 & Swim
Ages 5-13 onlyLet's celebrate the end of the July School Holidays with a trip to Pukekohe Cinema 3. We'll be watching the latest movie on the big screen with popcorn and drink provided. Don't forget your togs as we will be heading to the pool for a swim in the afternoon.
