APRIL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 2025
Even though the holidays are shorter with Easter and ANZAC, we have jampacked in as much fun as we can!
We have a great line up of activities these holidays including, Wave Raves, Skate Park, Wellington Zoo and much more!
In-house themed days will include exciting activites to cater for all age groups.
We are closed on the public holidays: Friday 18th April, Monday 21st April and Friday 25th April.

Before Care is available from 6.45am-8am and includes breakfast - kids must be booked in and is an extra charge. Any kids dropped off before 8am that are not booked in will be charged extra to cover costs
Please check the activities for the week as trip days require an early departure time.
Everyday kids MUST bring a drink bottle, food for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
We will proivde a fun, friendly, qualififed team to ensure your kids are safe and well looked after.
Please note if your child is absent you must give 72 hours notice or you will be charged the full fee. Absences on the day are CHARGED AT FULL PRICE. There will be NO refunds for cancelations of trip days due to the costs involved to run these.
OSCAR and MSD approved with WINZ subsidies available - you could save up to 80% on your fees if not more!
Please remember to drop your WINZ forms in before the holidays in plenty of time and allow 24 hours for them to be completed.

Pools/Mini Golf & Park
Ages 5-13 onlyWe're splitting up for the morning! Juniors are off for a swim at the Masterton pools and the Seniors are off to Mini golf. After the mornings activities we will meet up at the park from lunch and a play for the afternoon.
Movies & Games Afternoon
Ages 5-13 onlyThis morning we are off to the movies to watch Dog Man - half dog, half man! A wild adventure for sure. Back at Chill Out for the afternoon we will have a jam packed time with plenty of games and activities.
Palmerston North Wave Rave
Ages 5-13 onlyWe are off to Palmerston North for a Wave Rave! Get ready for an epic pool party with prizes, inflatables, games and so much more! The bus will be leaving at 9am sharp so please be on site before 9am
Pink & White Day
Ages 5-13 onlyThe theme today is pink and white! Come dressed in a costume or just wear some pink and white clothes. We'll have some fun easter crafts and some baking and even some tie dye!
Skate Park
Ages 5-13 onlyGrab your scooters, skateboards, or roller skates and get ready for an action-packed day at the skate park. No Bikes allowed - and don't forget your helmet for a safe and fun day!
Wellington Zoo
Ages 5-13 onlyJoin us for a fun-filled day at Wellington Zoo! We are gearing up for a day of exploring the habitats, spotting the animals - what will you see today? We'll have lunch on the grass before heading back out to explore more of the Zoo. The bus will be leaving at 9am sharp!
Device Day
Ages 5-13 onlyBring along your devices from home, kick back and enjoy gaming with your friend. Don't forget - there's no internet, so make sure your games are downloaded and ready to go. No Device? We've got plenty of activities to keep you going for the day!
Depending on the activites the prices for each day are different. Our trip days cost more then our on site days. Please check each day for the cost.
A $40 deposit is also payable at time booking or your bookings will not be approved. Winz forms must be completed before the start of the programme (last day to bring forms is Friday 11th April) or your booking will not be approved.
Our day is from 8.00am - 5.45pm. There is no discount given if you pick up before 5.45pm - the charge is for the day, not hours.
We do offer care from 6.45am-8.00am but there is an additional cost for this and you will need to add the BEFORE CARE at time of booking on the days you require to drop off before 8.00am. Breakfast can be provided for kids that are booked in for BEFORE CARE.
We are WINZ and OSCAR approved. Please read the winz information below:
1) Check out the winz website regarding OSCAR (Out of school care) subsidies, there are certain criteria you must meet before applying. Click this link to take you to the page: how OSCAR subsidy works
- You must be working or studying to qualify for subsidy
- The amount you receive is directly related to
i. The number of children in your care
ii. Your income.
iii. Winz will pay a maximum of 20 hours/week at $6.38/hour and 50 hours/week for holiday care. Check out the rates here: oscar-subsidy-current.
Please do not assume that Winz will cover the full cost of care.
2) You will need to go into winz and collect the correct forms – you are applying for the OSCAR subsidy for Holiday care ( Holiday programme care)
3) Winz will give you a large pack – this pack needs to be completed by you, with all the required evidence attached
4) There is a form at the back which will include a OSCAR SUBSIDY DECLERATION form – this is the only form we require. We are required to complete this part and in order to do so will need a booking in the system- Chill Out Kids booking
5) You will need to return ALL the forms back to winz so they can process the application.
6) You should receive a letter or correspondence through your MyMSD account which will detail the outcome of your application. It should tell you if you have been successful or not, and if so, how much you are entitled to.
i. Sometimes they my require further details – you must ensure you submit these as soon as possible.
7) Depending on the amount you receive from winz will depend on if you will need to make top up payments to cover your care.
e.g. you book in for 5 x after school cares a week at $25.30/day. That’s $126.50/ week for care (20 hours $25.30/$6.38).
Winz have accessed that you are entitled to 15 hours of care or $95.70/ week based on your income.
You will need to set up a direct debit into our account for $30.80 / week to cover the difference.
Failure to; or a delay in completing the forms, supplying additional information or hand in the forms may result in your application missing the cut off date. If this happens you will be required to pay for the full cost of care.
Some people find it easier to pay smaller amounts into our account weekly to help cover additional costs in the holidays.
Due to the cost of travel and activities in the holidays, our weekly care cost is sometimes higher then the subsidy amount available.
You have the options here of not booking for every day, to help manage that cost. However if you need a full week of care and you know that the subsidy will not cover the full amount then smaller payments throughout the year can help manage this. We just apply those payments as account funds in to your Chill Out Account so you can use them against future programmes.
