Welcome to the Lido School Holiday Programme
Join us at Lido Aquatic Centre Chill Out for an unforgettable Summer School Holiday Programme! We have a range of exciting activities, including Day Raves, Te Papa Museum, Splash Planet, Wellington Zoo, Masterchef and much more. This programme is perfect for school-aged children and has something for everyone.
At Lido Chill Out, our aim is to create a welcoming atmosphere where kids can come together, try new activities, build relationships, and create lifelong memories. The programme runs from 9am to 3pm, with options to extend with before care (6:30am to 9am) and after care (3pm to 6pm). Please note that refunds for absences are only given with 72 hours' notice during the School Holidays. If your child is sick on the day, a full charge will apply. Fees must be paid in advance as per our Terms and Conditions on our website.
For the upcoming week, please ensure that your child comes prepared with a hat, drink bottle, large lunch, and sunscreen. It is also important that they bring their swimwear every day, as we have a high demand for swimming activities over the holiday period and cannot offer alternative activities.
We are MSD Approved and offer WINZ subsidies for families in our community. You could save up to 80% on fees (or more!) with these subsidies. To apply, please visit us at the Centre to fill out the necessary forms. Please note that WINZ forms must be completed at least one week before the programme starts, and a $40 deposit per child is required to confirm a booking.
Spots for our holiday programme are limited and fill up quickly, so be sure to book now to secure your child's spot!

Hawaiian Pool Party
Ages 5-14 onlyGet ready to hula, limbo & go coconuts! Come in your Hawaii themed dress up today. Then into the pool for our own pool party! Inflatables, Music, Prizes and more! BBQ on us for Lunch! Staying after 3pm? It's Mystery Activity time.
Chill Out Christmas
Ages 5-14 onlyChristmas has come early to Chill Out. Get ready to party the day away with your friends, make last minute gifts and get baking! Then into the pool for a swim. Staying after 3pm? We are watching Christmas Movie's to get into the Christmas Spirit.
Cloud 9 Flip and Bounce
Ages 5-14 onlyWelcome back! Are you ready to hit the famous Cloud 9 Trampoline park. Get ready to jump! Then back to the Lido for a swim. Staying after 3pm? It's Mystery activity time.
Splash Adventure
Ages 5-14 onlyDive into a day of aqua adventure at the Whanganui Splash Centre! Stop off at Kōwhai park for a play on the way home! Staying after 3pm? It's Mystery activity time!
Cyberpunk Senior Adventure
Ages 9-14 onlyUnleash your inner warrior as you navigate the Donut Slide with an air bag landing and Ninja Courses! This unique adventure guarantees an unforgettable day of excitement and fun. (Minimum height requirement for Cyberpunk Ninja participants: 120 cm.) Return at 4:30pm
Junglerama Junior Adventure
Ages 5-8 onlyJoin us for an unforgettable adventure for our juniors where imagination runs wild and energy knows no bounds at Junglerama! The coolest indoor playground in Lower Hutt! Return at 4:30pm
Junior Boxtrolls!
Ages 5-8 onlyA fun, hands-on program for young creators ages 5-8! Kids unleash their imaginations using cardboard and recycled materials to build everything from fantastical creatures to inventive machines. Jump into the pools for the afternoon!
Senior Athletic's Day
Ages 9-14 onlyThis program offers action-packed day full of sports, challenges, and team games! From relay races to obstacle courses, it's the perfect way for young athletes to stay active and win prizes. Jump into the pool to cool off after!
DAY RAVE!
Ages 5-14 onlyIt's Day Rave time! We will be running a pool party in the water with music, games and competitions to keep everyone entertained! Staying after 3pm? We are watching a movie on the big screen Togs/towel Essential.
Safety Champions
Ages 5-14 onlyLearn the basics of first aid, lifeguarding techniques, and how to respond in emergencies. A fun and hands-on way to become a safety hero! Then jump into the pool to cool off! Staying after 3? Mystery Activity time.
Wellington Zoo!
Ages 5-14 onlyAdventure time! Let’s monkey around at Wellington Zoo - who can spot the Lions, Giraffes, Tigers and our Australian friends the Kangaroo! then stop off at Levin Park on our way home! Trip leaves 7.30am sharp, will arrive back by 5pm.
Mount Lee's Junior Adventure
Ages 5-8 onlyWe are heading to Mount Lee's to go on a Bush Walk for a dose of nature and time on the playground. Then it’s Kōwhai Park for lunch & play! Trip leaves 8am sharp. Please bring a big lunch, hat, sunscreen. Drink bottle essential.
Seniors Bowling Champion
Ages 9-14 onlyDid someone say strike? Test your bowling skills at Bowlarama to see how can get the highest score after 10 frames! Then Hit the pool for a dip. Staying after 3pm? Mystery Activity time!
Mission to Masterton Go Zone!
Ages 5-14 onlyJoin us today on an exciting adventure to Masterton Go Zone where we'll bounce and flip to our hearts' content! Feel the rush of air as you defy gravity and show off your acrobatic skills! Trip leaves at 9am sharp, and we'll be back by 4.30pm.
Junior Esplanade Warriors
Ages 5-8 onlyJoin us for a picnic at the park! Lets head down to the Esplanade for some fun in the sun then take the bush walk back to the Lido! Hats & Smiles compulsory! Lets hit the pool to cool down afterwards.
Seniors Amazing Race
Ages 9-14 onlyMay the best team win! We have created challenges for you to complete, dash across Palmy and solve the clues! Then back to the Lido for a swim! Staying after 3? It's Mystery Activity time!
Seniors Gorge Walk
Ages 9-14 onlyLet's hit the Gorge Walk. Cant wait to see the view at the top! Please bring good walking shoes and Hats a must. We will then head for a swim back at the Lido! Staying after 3pm? It's Mystery Activity time.
Soccer Skills and Aquafit Juniors
Ages 5-8 onlyJoin us for a morning of Soccer fun! Test out your skills with our instructor, let's play a game or two! Then cool off with an Aquafit class in the afternoon especially designed for kids! Staying after 3pm? Its mystery activity time.
Juniors Pukaha Adventure
Ages 5-8 onlyEmbark on an unforgettable day trip to the enchanting Pukaha National Wildlife Centre, a haven of biodiversity nestled in the heart of New Zealand's stunning natural landscape. Departing at 8:30am and returning at 4pm.
Seniors Mr and Mrs Science
Ages 9-14 onlyJoin us for a day packed with fun Science Experiments, Volcanoes, Parachute Competition and more! Then head for a swim! Staying after 3pm? It's Mystery Activity time.
Splashplanet!
Ages 5-14 onlyIt's an early start today at 7:30am sharp as we embark on a thrilling journey to Splash Planet! Brace for a day filled with exhilarating water slides and endless fun in the sun. Don't forget to pack your BIG lunch, hat, and drink bottle. We will be back at the Lido by 5.30pm.
Trip to Splashhurst
Ages 5-14 onlyBack to Splashhurst! Join us at Ashhurst Domain for a day of games and adventure in the park! Then to the pools for lunch and a swim! Staying after 3pm? Mystery Activity time.
Napier Aquarium
Ages 5-14 onlyJoin us for a trip back to Napier to visit the aquarium! Then a dip at Napier Ocean Spa Pools! Leaving 8:00 sharp and returning by 5:00. Sunhat, BIG Lunch, Water bottle compulsory!
Juniors Memorial Park
Ages 5-8 onlyOff to the splashpad this morning! Play on the new playground at Memorial Park! Then to visit our friends at Freyberg for a swim! Staying after 3pm? Its Mystery activity time.
Seniors Off The Loop!
Ages 9-14 onlyJoin us as we venture to Foxton's Off The Loop Waterpark! See you on the giant inflatable playground! We will also be stopping at Holbern Parade Reserve for lunch. Leaving 9:30 am, Staying after 3pm? It's Mystery Activity time.
Pool Party Day Rave!

Te Papa Museum & Levin day trip
Ages 5-14 onlyOff to see the attractions at Te Papa National Museum in Wellington! Learn the history of Gallipoli campaign and check out the Te Taiao Nature exhibit. Stopping off at Levin Adventure Park on the way home. Leaving 9am and returning by 5pm. See you there!
Chill Out Raft Wars!
