Come down to the Whangarei Aquatic Centre and enrol your children into our exciting April School Holiday Programme! These holidays are going to be an epic programme full of adventures, creativity, prizes and of course lots of swimming each day.
Chill Out offers a safe, stimulating and fun environment for your school aged child/children. Our staff are experienced and we are OSCAR and WINZ approved so you may be eligible for a payment subsidy.
The School Holiday Programme operates from 9am-3pm, with additonal Before Care available from 7am-9am and After Care from 3pm-6pm. We offer a wide range of interactive, age appropriate activities throughout the day to keep the children occupied and having fun.
Enrolments fill up fast so you need to get in quick and early to confirm your child's place on the programme. We also strongly encourage those parent/caregivers who are applying for WINZ subsidies to start this process early to avoid disappointment and your subsidy application being declined.
Please bring a packed lunch for the day, water bottle, shoes, and swim wear. We also have availabliy to purchase lunch from the cafe - just let the staff know and order on arrival.

Easter Crafts
Ages 5-14 onlyWe’re going to get crazy with Easter crafts today. We’ll have fun crafts, colouring and mini challenges. So channel your inner artist and get ready! Don't forget to pack your togs for our afternoon swim!
Picnic at the Town Basin
Ages 5-14 onlyCome and join us for a trip to the Town Basin for a shared picnic at the park, followed by a play on the playground before we venture back to the pools for a splash in the pool! Please bring a sharing plate/container of your favourite picnic food for our trip and don't forget those togs!!
Wacky Everything Day
Ages 5-14 onlyCome join us for a wacky clothing and hair day extravaganza! Let your kids show off their wild and wacky style in a day filled with fun and laughter. Whether it's crazy hats, mismatched socks, or outrageous hairstyles. Join us for a day of creativity and self-expression as we celebrate individuality and silliness. Remember your togs and towel ready for an afternoon of water fun.
Fun times at Timezone Whangarei
Ages 5-14 onlyTest your skills with us at Timezone Whangarei! Everyone will be given an hour play time on ticket and standard games so don't panic if your not sure how to play, there's plenty of time! We will then head back to the pools for a swim in the afternoon so don't forget your togs.
Kori's Slumber Party
Ages 5-14 onlyCome in your pyjamas it's time for Kori's Slumber party! Join us for a day filled with exciting games, activities, and surprises, all hosted by our one and only Kori the Penguin. Then we'll head to the pool for a splash so don't forget your togs and towel.
Mad Scientist
Ages 5-14 onlyGet creative with our fun science experiments! We'll have a range of unique projects and activities for you to explore, including our popular slime creation. We will also be off for a swim in the afternoon!
Dive back in time
Ages 5-14 onlyLet’s dive back in time and look at the history of New Zealand, honour those who fought for our land and celebrate ANZAC Day together. We’ll spend the morning together discovering and learning about ANZAC, making poppies and the traditional ANZAC Cookies. But don’t forget your togs as the afternoon will be filled with water activities and swimming!
Water Safety with Swim Magic
Ages 5-14 onlyBrought to you by our Swim School! This is not only educational but super fun as well. Water safety experience and learn techniques to keep you safe in the water! Learn skills you can take with you on a boat or to the beach!
Day out at Event Cinemas
Ages 5-14 onlyToday we will be heading to Event Cinemas to catch the latest movie on the big screen. You can dress as your favourite Easter movie character to win a spot prize. After the movies back to the pools for a splash. Popcorn and water will be provided by the Chill Out team!
