Welcome to the Lido 2018-2019 Summer Holiday Programme
We're excited for the Summer Holiday Programme! Weeks of fun in the sun, water play and hanging out with kids doing cool stuff!
We've got some great activities planned with a trip to Splash Planet, Bush Walks, Paddle Boarding, Horse Riding and of course the wonderful Christmas activities!
The environment at the Lido is geared towards fun and active play with different activities to suit all children.
Please be aware that our pricing structure has changed. You can now book 8am to 3pm for a flat fee. For care 7am to 8am or after 3pm please add this on to your booking for only $3 per hour. This change is designed to let you book for only the care you need.
Please ensure your children are at the facility by 9am and are picked up no later than 6pm. We swim every day! During Summer, please ensure that your child has their togs each day.
We are MSD Approved and WINZ subsidies available for families in our community – you could save up to 80% on your fees if not more! We encourage you to visit us at the Centre for us to fill in your forms. We also strongly encourage those parent/caregivers who are applying for WINZ subsidies to start this process early to avoid disappointment.
So enrol now to avoid missing out.

Christmas Cave and Park Play
Ages 5-8 onlyThe Dannevirke Fantasy Cave is the best place to start our holiday programme! We'll head over there in vans at 9.15am and after we have visited we'll stop at a park to burn off some more energy. Then back to the Lido for a swim!
My Christmas Kitchen Rules!
Ages 9-14 onlyOur older kids love anything food! Let's see how they go with some Christmas themed cooking - as always, there's a trick in there. What will it be this time? We'll be swimming too, burn off that sugar!

Ages 5-8 onlyWe'll head to Event Cinemas today and catch a Christmas movie! We'll provide a snack and a drink, but you can bring a little spending money if you like. All that sitting around will require a swim to get active.

Owlcatraz and Park Play
Ages 5-8 onlyWe're heading out to Shannon by vans today. We'll leave just after 9am. Owlcatraz is on our list, and a nifty little park out that way. Make sure you have a packed lunch today because we're having lunch at the park! We'll swim once we're back.
Flippa Ball!
Ages 9-14 onlyLet your competitive streak shine today! We'll learn how to play Flippa Ball and then have some games! Bring your togs!
Cloud 9 and Freyberg
Ages 9-14 onlyWe'll hit Cloud 9 today and then Freyberg Pool. Make sure you bring your lunch because we'll be out until 3pm. Togs are a must too!
Police School
Ages 5-8 onlyToday we're gonna learn what it takes to be a Cop! We'll learn about the different types of jobs in the police form and do some physical tests! Swimming too - because cops do that too!
Limestone Creek and Kowhai Park
Ages 5-8 onlyWe're going for a drive out to Apiti today. We'll be walking through the bush and through a cave to see the beautiful Limestone Creek. After that we'll have a play at Kowhai Park. Please wear old shoes that can get wet today, and bring your lunch!
Water Safety
Ages 9-14 onlyWe'll be in the big deep pools today learning how to be safe in the water. Bring your togs because everyone will be swimming! Inflatable boats, rescue tows and more!
Drive In Movie
Ages 5-14 onlyToday we'll create our own Drive In Movie cinema. We'll make our cars, make the tickets, make the popcorn. Then we'll enjoy the movie. NB: Seniors not attending the Splash Planet Trip can join this day.
Splash Planet!
Ages 9-14 onlyIt's an early start today! The vans are leaving at 7am for Splash Planet! We'll hit the pools and rides for the day. We'll be back at 5.30pm. Please bring a BIG packed lunch, hat and drink bottle. NB: $65 is for the whole day today.

Ages 9-14 onlyWe're taking the vans out to Foxton's Off the Loop today. We'll do some water sports. Got a wetsuit - bring it! Bring a big packed lunch and a change of clothes too!

Tech Day
Ages 9-14 onlyBack by popular demand (of the kids!) is Tech Day. The one day these holidays that you can bring your technology to Chill Out. Don't worry parents, today all kids need to get off their technology and swim as well. Make sure they bring their togs!
Building Champions
Ages 5-8 onlyBring your sports gear and drink bottle today! Our Personal Trainers are gonna put you through your paces. Bring a great attitude and your togs to cool off after!
Youth Space and Bowling
Ages 9-14 onlyYouth Space is an awesome place for the older kids to relax, unwind and experiment with their interests like music, chess, gaming and reading. After Youth Space we'll head to bowling - please bring socks!
A Day @ Camp
Ages 9-14 onlyEver wondered what it would be like to be on a Summer Camp in America like the movies! Find out today! We'll play all sorts of games, do team challenges and have heaps of fun! Bring your togs!

Teddy Bears Picnic
Ages 5-8 onlyBring your favourite Teddy or Doll along today and we'll take them on a Picnic! We'll have picnic food and we'll have play at the Playground. Swimming After, the Teddy's and Doll's will need to stay in our bags while we swim.
Skateboard School
Ages 9-14 onlyThis was a hit when we did it over the October holidays! All skateboards and safety gear provided. All you need is a great attitude! Come along and learn the basics of skateboarding!
School of Horse Riding and Ashhust Domain
Ages 5-8 onlyToday we'll visit some animals, groom some pony's and go for a wee horse ride! Bring along closed in shoes and a big lunch and a drink bottle. We'll head out to Ashhurst Domain afterwards.
Splash City Day Rave!
Ages 9-14 onlyHere's a Day Rave only for the older kids! The whole thing is outside! We'll swim in the 50m pool and in the dive well. Music, games, prizes!
Mexican Fiesta
Ages 5-8 onlyMexico! We'll do everything Mexican style today! Cooking, art, games! We'll even swim Mexican style! Got a sombero or a mustache? Bring it!
Lazer Tag and Bush Walk
Ages 9-14 onlyLet's get out the facility for a bit! We'll go play some Lazer Tag and then get outside for a Bush walk. Make sure you have sneakers, a drink bottle, a hat and a BIG packed lunch today! Swimming once we're back!
Toy Circus and Levin Adventure Playground
Ages 5-8 onlyThe Toy Circus in Shannon is great fun. If you have a scooter, bring that and your helmet! We'll also go to Levin Adventure Playgrond. Please bring your BIG packed lunch, drink bottle and a hat! We'll go swimming once we're back at the Lido.
Waterfight Day!
Ages 9-14 onlyWe'll finish off the holidays with a waterfight and using the outdoor slides. Bring your togs and a spare change of clothes!
Movies and Swimming!
Ages 5-14 onlyWe'll hit Event Cinemas and watch a new release today. Swimming in the afternoon! We have strictly limited numbers this week so enrol fast!
Park Crawl!
Ages 5-14 onlyWe're gonna hit all the best parks in the Manawatu today. We'll start in Ashhurst and work our way back. Bring a BIG packed lunch, drink bottle and hat today! We'll swim once we've at the facility in the afternoon. Strictly limited numbers!
Flip City!
Ages 5-14 onlyWe'll flip into Flip City today and have a flippin good time! Bring a drink bottle! We'll cool off in the pool afterwards. This week has strictly limited numbers, so enrol fast!
